Welcome to Wood Quay

Set in the heart of medieval Carlingford, Co. Louth, Wood Quay provides a unique and charming self-catering accommodation – it has the best of both worlds being right on the water but in the heart of the village!

Now a popular accommodation experience, Wood Quay was originally a grain store for Carlingford railway station. Built in 1840, it has been sensitively restored using exclusively salvage materials that enhance the buildings character and history.

The accommodation comprises of two holiday cottages, the Main House and the Baby House, both providing breath-taking views of Carlingford Lough and the Mourne mountains. The cottages are available to book separately, or together.

The Main House has its own private pier which can be used as a swimming platform, mooring your boat or simply a picturesque spot to enjoy your breakfast!

The perfect venue for many different events and occasions such as wedding receptions, art exhibitions, product launches and a yoga retreat to name a few. Situated on the harbour front, Carlingford Lough, Wood Quay provides a unique and special backdrop for any occasion.

In addition to the fascinating history and heritage of the local area, Carlingford itself boasts many pubs, restaurants, activities and festivals. We’ve listed our favourite Carlingford activities here.
